Covid mRNA Shots and New-Onset Autoimmunity

Avid readers of this newsletter will know that I have made multiple references to an article Dr. Stephanie Seneff and I published back in May 2021 in which we warned of some “potential unintended consequences” that the newly released mRNA shots could cause. One of the potential health problems we predicted (and documented) was autoimmune disease. Specifically, we wrote:

Antibodies with a high binding affinity to SARS-CoV-2 spike [such as are generated by mRNA injection] and other proteins also have a high binding affinity with tTG (associated with Celiac Disease), TPO (Hashimoto’s thyroiditis), myelin basic protein (multiple sclerosis), and several endogenous proteins. Unlike the autoimmune process associated with pathogen priming, these autoimmune diseases typically take years to manifest symptomatically.

Well, here we are. A recent study begins by stating:

This review highlights the substantial patterns of reported associations of autoimmune disorders following COVID-19 vaccination, in patients with and without prior autoimmunity.

The peer-reviewed study published in November reviewed 109 articles that were themselves published only in the year 2022. These 109 articles mentioned any of several autoimmune conditions. Diseases they searched for included Celiac Disease, Hashimoto’s, multiple sclerosis, lupus, and others. The authors describe several mechanisms through which the shots could induce autoimmunity, including the molecular mimicry we described in our 2021 paper. They found that 60% of the papers were describing relapses or flares of pre-existing autoimmune disease within days or weeks of an mRNA injection. Even more concerning, 25% of the papers reviewed were describing newly onset autoimmune disease following an mRNA injection.

To state that again, out of 109 articles on new or exacerbated autoimmune disease published in 2022, 85% of those autoimmune conditions arose within days or a few weeks of getting an mRNA injection.

Yes, I know, “correlation does not mean causation.” True, correlation doesn’t mean causation, but you don’t have causation without a correlation. And when there are multiple mechanisms through which causation could feasibly be established, it makes the case much stronger. If any newly introduced drug were so strongly associated with new onset or relapse of autoimmune disease it would unquestionably be pulled from the market. That is the very essence of drug safety monitoring.

If you or anyone you know has experienced a new or exacerbated autoimmune disease since receiving an mRNA injection, we should talk. Therapeutic strategies are multi-focused and include immune stabilization, spike protein mitigation, lipid nanoparticle detoxification, autonomic regulation, and more.
